{"id":2762,"date":"2020-02-13T04:52:26","date_gmt":"2020-02-13T04:52:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.icap.org.pk\/?page_id=2762"},"modified":"2020-09-30T09:55:16","modified_gmt":"2020-09-30T09:55:16","slug":"aml-supervision","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/aml-supervision\/","title":{"rendered":"AML Supervision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Anti \u2013 Money Laundering &amp;  Combating Financing of Terrorism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Pakistan  is obligated to comply with the&nbsp;<em>&quot;International  Standards on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism &amp;  Proliferation&quot;<\/em>&nbsp;issued by the Financial Action Task Force  (FATF Recommendations). Pakistan is also subject to FATF mutual evaluations on  the adoption and implementation of FATF Recommendations.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">In  this regard, Pakistan has enacted the Anti-Money Laundering Act, 2010 (the AML  Act) and Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The  AML Act places obligations on the accountancy profession, requiring AML\/ CFT  regulatory and supervisory measures.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> The  Parliament has passed Anti \u2013 Money Laundering (Second Amendment) Act, 2020 on  September 16, 2020 to further amend the Anti -Money Laundering Act, 2010 (AML  Act 2010). According to the amendment, the Institute of Chartered Accountants  of Pakistan (ICAP) has been designated as an AML \/ CFT Regulatory Authority of  its members in the AML Act, 2010.<\/p>\n<p>The  Institute as an AML \/ CFT Regulatory Authority has issued&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/icap.org.pk\/files\/per\/aml\/ICAPAMLCFTRegulations.pdf\">&ldquo;<em>Anti \u2013 Money Laundering and Combating  Financing of Terrorism Regulations for Chartered Accountants Reporting Firms<\/em>&rdquo; (The Regulations) under section 6A(2) of the AML Act,  2010.&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anti \u2013 Money Laundering &amp; Combating Financing of Terrorism Pakistan is obligated to comply with the&nbsp;&quot;International Standards on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism &amp; Proliferation&quot;&nbsp;issued by the&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":"","_links_to":"","_links_to_target":""},"class_list":["post-2762","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2762","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/3"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=2762"}],"version-history":[{"count":15,"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2762\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3874,"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/2762\/revisions\/3874"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=2762"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
