{"id":4958,"date":"2021-05-10T15:24:58","date_gmt":"2021-05-10T15:24:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/icap.org.pk\/?p=4958"},"modified":"2021-05-10T15:24:58","modified_gmt":"2021-05-10T15:24:58","slug":"icap-elections-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/staging.icap.org.pk\/icap\/icap-elections-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"ICAP Elections 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dear Member,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">  According to Bye-Law  11(1) of the Chartered Accountants Bye-Laws, 1983 the Council of the Institute  hereby notifies that the next election of the Council (17th) and the  Regional Committees (i.e. Northern and Southern) will be held on <strong><u>September  11, 2021. <\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n  As per Bye-Law 12 of the Chartered Accountants  Bye-Laws, 1983, the members whose names would be appearing on the &lsquo;Register of  Members&rsquo; at the close of business on <strong><u>May 11, 2021<\/u>,<\/strong> will be  eligible to cast their votes in the election.  &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <br \/>\n  Further, the <strong>residential address will be used  to determine the zone and constituency of the eligible voters. <\/strong><u>Therefore,<strong> <\/strong>all members are requested to communicate to Institute about any change in  their <strong>residential address <\/strong>by <strong>May 25, 2021<\/strong>.<\/u> In this regard,  you can update your particulars directly at our website by following the link <a href=\"https:\/\/member.icap.org.pk\/\">https:\/\/member.icap.org.pk\/<\/a> or  complete the attached form and send it to the Institute&rsquo;s Head Office through  courier or email at <a href=\"mailto:membership@icap.org.pk\">membership@icap.org.pk<\/a>. <br \/>\n  We would also like to inform members regarding  the change in <em>Bye-Law 25<\/em>. By default, a member is entitled to vote in  person (or by post in cities where election stations are not formed). In  previous elections, the <strong><u>Electronic Form of Voting (E-Voting)<\/u><\/strong> was  only available to eligible overseas members. However, as per the amendments in  the <em>Bye-law 25<\/em>, all eligible voters including <strong><u>local voters<\/u><\/strong> have the option to opt for the E-Voting.
